Animals can be "attracted" to the MyLand Striiv game in several different ways. First, you can spin a MyLand challenge, such as Grow 2 Grandfather Trees. Second, you can open a treasure chest. Third, an animal can just appear when you finish growing a plant or fixture. Each plant/fixture will always attract the same animal. For instance, the Greek Villa will always attract a purple lemur, and never anything else.
The odds of getting an animal are about 1 in 5 unless you have the Honey Pot, where the odds grow to 2 in 5 (from the bronze treasure chest) or 3 in 5 (from the silver treasure chest) or 4 in 5 (from the gold treasure chest). The very expensive plants and fixture seem to attract an animal.
There are eight species of animals in MyLand: lemurs, tigers, turtles, ostriches, parrots, centaurs, dragons, and fairies. Within each species there are often color variations, and one size variation. Here is a complete list:
Lemur: brown, yellow, purple
Tiger: orange, white, black
Turtle: brown
Ostrich: black, yellow
Parrot: multicolor
Centaur: blond, brunette, redhead
Dragon: green, red, and Large Green
Fairy: purple with monarch wings
Send a comment if you are looking to attract a specific animal, and I can tell you all the different ways you can get it.
Thanks for posting this. I am a relatively new striiver. I got mine about a month and a half ago. But i am a full blown addict and have been waiting for something like this to come along. I look forward to reading more! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Abby..I mean Striiv addict. I do not have any dragons or fairies. I built most of my islands before the change and there were no fairies. I took a challenge previously to build 2 fairy trees and open the last of turtle island. I had 1 built and one started. Then with the change the price went up. I then bought an acropolis. Now I don't know if I should spend my steps to finish the acropolis or fairy tree? I have no room to build a fairy forest unless I get the rest of the island open. What would you do?
ReplyDeletePS as a fellow blogger..you will get more comments if you drop the prove you aren't a robot thing. I can barely read them; most people hate them. I dropped it on my blog a year ago and never got any spam. Just sayin. I had to try 4 times just to get this posted.

ReplyDeleteThere are also silver/gray haired centaurs who will shoot their bow.
ReplyDeleteHi Striiv Addict!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me how to get a lemur?
Thanks!
How do I get a dragon?
ReplyDeletethe hardest thing I have found, is once you take the quest to attract a certain number of animals, you cannot take the quests that pay out an animal to build the building or plant the tree. So you are stuck planting endless things to get animals that may never come
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what I need to plant or build in order to attract one of those blond centaurs (the ones who shoot a bow and arrow)?
ReplyDeleteBuild a Warrior's Poet statue. Remember not every structure/plant comes with an animal, so you might not get one the first time. It seems like every other one I have came with a blond centaur.
DeleteMy centaur appeared after building the archery
DeleteHow do you get a Large Green Dragon?

ReplyDeleteHow do I get a yellow ostrich?

ReplyDeleteHow do I get a large dragon?
ReplyDeleteCan you provide a complete list of which plants/buildings/fixtures yield which animals?
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me how to get off Turtle Island. I bought a bronze box and turtle island appeared and it is locked. I need to plant two grandmother trees to unlock it, but it takes so much energy and I can't redeem my coins from the main islands. This is exasperating. I am 62 years old and cannot run 10 miles a day. I do good to get 10,000 steps. Any hints???
